What is abrasive Garnet?
Abrasive Garnet Sand is a mineral abrasive produced from naturally occurring almandite garnet. Abrasive Garnet is created by processing beach sand and grading to correct specifications. Due to its low free silica, Garnet Abrasive Sand is generally used in sand/grit blasting Machine and now universally popular for waterjet cutting. It is price-effective, environmentally and operator-friendly, in comparison to silica sands and minerals slags, and will provide a class Sa3 White Metal finish. Garnet Sand particles are dense, hard, and sharp, and free of heavy metals or toxic elements. The low friability of garnet empowers recycling up to 5-8 times and the comparatively high density ensures fast blasting speeds.
