Boiler Tube Coating is a must to increase the life of boiler tubes. The thermal spray on boiler tube coating technology gives high-temperature wear & corrosion protection coating on the boiler tubes. A broad type of coating materials such as mild steel or other metals or alloys is available. Therefore a proper coating can be utilized on the tubes to combat the specific queries without changing the tube material.

Thermal spray coating is a general name for a combination of processes in which a wire/ powder is melted, either by fuel or electrical means, to its melting point, atomized by the usage of pressurized air & then moved onto the prepared component. The melted particles hit the prepared surface & fix instantly, create up layer upon layer to make a coating.

How is Boiler Tube Coating Done?

Boiler Tube Coating is done by Two Processes are following:

TWIN WIRE ARC SPRAY GUN

The twin wire arc spray gun process uses metal in wire feedstock supplies. Heating & melting happen when two electrically reversed charged wires, comprising the spray wire, are served together in such a way that a controlled arc happens at their crossing. The molten metal is atomized & propelled onto the processed workpiece by streams of compressed air.

HVOF GUN

Thermal spray processes called high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF Gun) spraying was developed. A mixture of gaseous & oxygen is fed into a combustion chamber, where they are burned & combusted continuously. The resultant hot gas at a pressure close to 0.99 MPa issues within a nozzle & expands through a reliable section. The fuels can be gases such as hydrogen, ethane, methane, propane, propylene, acetylene & natural gas, or liquids.
